The pursuit of happiness

This is my first movie review and I wanted it to be one of the best movies ever to have hit the silver screen. This movie features Will Smith as the ever working father and his own son Jade as his son in the movie also. The whole movie is something that is truly inspiring to anyone who watches it. The story goes like this, Will Smith, the father has a well-to-do job and everything goes fine unless his job crashes and he gets into bankruptcy.


Things turn around and everything now looks gloomy. His wife leaves and has to take care of his only son and they have no place to live in. Things get better when Will Smith joins the broking company and gets to become a stockbroker. But until then the film takes you through the ups and downs that he faces along the journey. Watch the movie if you have not watched any feel-good movie for a long time. This one is sure to create an impact on its viewers.

There is nothing more to be said about the movie than what the rest of the world had said. This is by far the most advanced and the most successful movie to have ever hit the screens and is the largest grosser world wide. The movie directed by none other than James Cameroon was in works for over two three years. The movie was made in #D format and without needing to say, has the best 3D experience till now.


The movie has a simple plot but touches the lives of Na’vi’s so much that you become one of them half way into the film. It makes you feel like an alien in your won world. The acting has primarily been captured using special cameras that were designed by James himself to bring out the best of the 3D world.All the actors have done a commendable performance and this is one movie that you don’t want to miss in your whole life!

The Shawshank Redemption

This is one movie that you don’t want to miss. Though the movie was not received well when it was released, once it was released in DVD, it took away like a storm and there was no stopping it later. It went on to become the largest selling DVD movie ever and holds the top spot in the IMDB charts till now.


The lead characters, Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman have done the roles so commendable that they look so real. The plot happens in a prison and the game is all about Tim escaping from the prison. It should be note that the role played by the officer in charge prison was a pivotal one. So if you have not got this movie, then get the DVD now.
